Sandy Tarr received her BFA in Painting and Design at Carnegie Mellon University, where she was a Statler Scholar. She studied textile design at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York, combining her background in and passion for painting with fabric production. As Director of Design for Waverly and Croscill home product companies, she received Tommy Awards for outstanding printed fabric design. Her paintings have been exhibited in galleries and museums, and are part of major collections including Worth Perfume, Philip Morris Inc., and the American Embassy, Seoul, Korea. Tarr home renovation designs and art have been featured in Country Living Magazine, Victoria, and House Beautiful, as well as in interior design books and decorating publications.
